JS Global Schools had the privilege of welcoming Dr. John D. Skalbeck, a visiting professor from the University of Wisconsin – Parkside (USA), who left an indelible impression on our students with his special reading of the children’s book ‘Essential Workers, Like Me!’ This heartwarming book, authored by John D. Skalbeck and co authored by Samuel T. Skalbeck, was born during the coronavirus pandemic and encourages children to pursue passions that lead to meaningful careers

During his visit, Dr. Skalbeck animatedly read from the book, bringing the stories of essential workers like doctors, chefs, and firefighters to life. The students were captivated by his storytelling and enthusiastically engaged in discussions and shared personal objectives motivated by the book’s positive message.

In a generous gesture, Dr. John D. Skalbeck also gifted several copies of ‘Essential Workers, Like Me!’ to our school library. These books will not only enrich our collection but also serve as ongoing sources of inspiration for our students, reminding them of the valuable lessons about hard work and following their dreams that Dr. Skalbeck shared during his visit. We are thankful to Dr. John D. Skalbeck for bringing joy and valuable lessons to the students of JS Global Vidhyamandhir. His visit was unforgettable, and we can’t wait to see how his stories continue to inspire our students in the future.
